I believe in the holistic impact yoga provides and strive to ensure my teaching leaves you with a closer connection to your authentic self. I focus my teaching on Vinyasa yoga, one of the most contemporary styles of yoga. Excellent for your overall health and wellness, Vinyasa yoga focuses on linking your breath to your movements while intertwining fitness elements to provide a wide range of benefits to the body and soul. I embrace the physical challenges each asana presents, and the deeper spiritual fulfillment that comes with completion of each flow.

My goal is to challenge you to disconnect from the chaos, support you in finding inner strength, and empower you by providing you with opportunities to encounter movement, breath, and healing.  In my practice everyone is welcome, and I strive to cultivate a safe and supportive community for all. It is an honor for me to share time, space, energy and sweat with others.

Meditation (known as Dhyana in Sanskrit):

What is meditation and its benefits? Meditation is a state of pure consciousness. It is the habitual process of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts. It is the ability to notice your thoughts but not engage in them.

Practicing meditation relieves stress and improves one’s sense of well-being, helping us learn to break through the mental barriers / obstacles we face daily to keep the mind sharp and clear.

I have personally found the yoga community to be an amazing additional benefit to my yoga practice, most specifically in helping me recognize and better understand my personal shortcomings and comfortably embracing humility and vulnerability. And while the personal journey for me continues, I can proudly say I have made progress towards my “best self” and just as proudly say my yoga community has been a key element of that progress.
